Our mission is to grow adult wrestling into a community where it‘s viewed as a great way to get fit and active for all skill levels.
Traditionally, wrestling is associated with tough, grueling practices that are mentally grinding, but it doesn’t have to be that way.
We want to create an environment where everyone from a novice wrestlers to active competitors can learn, get fit, and most importantly, have fun on the mat as an adult.
Our training combines fitness and wrestling into an enjoyable and safe workout for all levels of wrestling experience, fitness backgrounds, and abilities.
Our History
Matburn is South Jersey’s first adult wrestling club!
We are former wrestlers, who have wrestled at different stages of our lives but continue to love the sport. Like most adults, our wrestling careers ended in high school or college and now is a distant memory.
Our goal is to bring wrestling into the recreational space of adults to keep it from being just a memory.
Our vision is to build a fun, creative space for all to learn, interact, and stay active in the sport.
Our drive is to grow the adult wrestling community by providing opportunities for all levels to explore the benefits wrestling has to offer.
